Brent Petersen, a third-generation admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa. He is a practicing Conveyancer, Notary Public and Key Individual. A proud alumnus of UWC, he possesses a decade of invaluable legal experience that is complemented by a razor-sharp focus in Commercial & Corporate law, Contract law, Crypto Asset advisory services, Conveyancing and Notarial Services. He also serves as the Chairperson of the Crypto Asset Association of South Africa.

A substantial portion of his work is dedicated to Conveyancing and Crypto Asset regulatory and compliance services. He holds a position as Head of South Africa & Key Individual for Easy Crypto.com (a international crypto exchange). This role further underscores his immersion in the legal intricacies surrounding crypto assets, blockchain technology, exchange control regulations, and the nuanced legal framework currently being rolled out in South Africa. His primary objective is to provide a comprehensive spectrum of legal advice and solutions, ensuring full compliance in all matters related to crypto assets.

Brent is also well-versed in Conveyancing and property-related matters, extending his services to encompass leasing, buying, selling, and the resolution of landlord and tenant disputes, with a focus on both commercial and residential leases. He has successfully drafted various agreements stemming from property transactions for a major listed fuel retail provider. In his capacity as a Notary Public, Brent adeptly assists clients across a spectrum of notarial services, encompassing the drafting of registrable deeds, document authentication, and the creation of ante nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, among others.
